Let me first get this out there...
I am ALL girl.
I love clothes,
I love, makeup,
I love wearing makeup,
and put on a full face of makeup every day - even if I am not going anywhere.
Hey, as a stay-at-home mom it makes me feel more put together.
However, I don't like spending a lot on makeup.
In my opinion, the $4 mascara can work just as well as the $27 mascara...
you just have to know how to use it.
I get lots of compliments on my makeup and people asking me questions like,
How do you do your eye makeup?
What products do you use?
How long does it take you?
Will you show me how to do it sometime?
My answer to you all is...
The easiest way was to make a video. I can't think of many opportunities you get to see someone do an entire face of makeup and show you how they do it. It's fun to see other people's methods and the products they like to use. In fact, I'd love to know how YOU do YOUR makeup!
A few things to keep in mind as you watch this riveting display of how I put on my face each day:
- Yes, I use a lot of different products. (I buy cheap products and pair them up to get the effect you would hope to get from super expensive products.)
- Yes, I wear a lot of makeup in some people's standards. (But I can do my entire face in less than 10 minutes, and can do it much faster if I'm going for a lighter look that day.)
- Yes, my eyes are ginormous, making it easier to do the eyeshadow the way I do it. (Baby, I was born that way!)

As for my beauty product line-up, here's what I use. I found this great site, Overstock Drug Store where you can buy all your products ONLINE. Talk about easy. Their prices are really competitive, they have free shipping on orders over $50, they have great customer service, and they have a "Deal of the Day" item each day. Today's item is 67% off, which is killer.
check them out HERE.
If you are interested in any of the products I use, click on them and it will give you more information.
*Note: These product picks are based 100% on my own opinion! I was in no way paid to state any opinion on these specific products.
I like this product because, I don't know how or why, but it really does make your eyelashes thick and separated, like false eyelashes.
I've been using this since high school. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! I love it because it's whipped so it's super light, airy, and has good coverage. I've used other concealers before and always seem to go back to this.
straight brush (not curved), blackest black, thin brush (not the super bushy thick one)
I like this because it's nice and dark, and the brush is thin and straight. If you watched the video you see that I use this to coat my entire lash to get it nice and black from root to tip. Doesn't do well to thicken your lash, that's why I use the Falsies on top of it.
I use this to "prime" the root and tip of my lash (see the video for an explanation on this). I love this mascara because it's cheap, and effective. It is TRULY waterproof - I can swim and sweat in it and it won't run. However, it washes off pretty well with soap and water.
Can be found in stores for cheaper than online, sometimes (got mine at Target). You need an eye primer first to get it to stay on all day, but I love the color options and the price.
Elf's awesome $1 cosmetics HERE
MAC Paint Pot eye primer, Bare Study
This is one of the only expensive products I use...but it's worth the investment, in my book. A little of this eyeshadow primer on your eye and you can use the cheapest of cheap eyeshadows - it will not only stay on all day, but it keeps colors true and vibrant. I love this stuff.
I use these as my blush options. Trust me...you do NOT have to pay more than a few dollars for blush! It's all the same in my opinion! I buy the cheapest of cheap, and love it. See the video for how I apply these.
Doesn't matter the brand in my opinion, you just need one!
It's great because it has SPF 18, and has great coverage. I bought it originally because it was the cheapest...but I've used other products and think the coverage is excellent.
This isn't necessarily the brand I use, I just recommend getting a sheer, lustrous bronzing-type powder to highlight your cheekbones and temples (see video for more explanation). I don't know the brand of the stuff I have, the container broke and I put it in an empty container I had lying around. I think it was really cheap though, like NYC or Mary Kate and Ashley or something like that!
So there you go, those are a few of my makeup products of choice.
Once again, I'd love to know how YOU do YOUR makeup! Leave a comment on this post or email me at email@example.com with your methods, products, and tips...I'd love to hear from you :)
