Welcome back to "You're Welcome" Wednesday, where I share a creative tip with you that's bound to make you say...THANKS!
Since we just moved into our new house, I have been trying to come up with creative ways to organize using what we already have (moving is EXPENSIVE!).
One of the most effective things I've come up with recently is this:
Organize your home with hanging shoe holders
Simple, yet so effective!
I have one on the back of my pantry door. I keep all my son's snacks in it. When he's hungry I just open the door and he can have his pick of any of the snacks! He can see them all clearly, and they stay organized. Plus, I can see when I'm running low on something.
I also have a low shelf dedicated just for him (for his bigger snacks) that he can choose from.
This gives him a sense of autonomy and independence, while keeping my pantry organized!
I also have a shoe tree hanging in my laundry room for my cleaning supplies. It's so much better than the big jumbled mess under the sink!
It helps prevent duplicates, and keeps them easily accessible. I even keep garbage bags in the bottom.
I also have a shoe tree hanging in my hall coat closet. We have a big rubbermaid bin for our heavy shoes like boots, but this is perfect for keeping our smaller shoes organized and off the floor.
You can also see in the picture that we use (2 sets of ) plastic drawers for organizing. In one set my husband has a drawer for his flip-flops and small shoes, I have a drawer for mine, and we have a drawer for kid shoes/socks. In the other set we have a drawer for gloves, scarves/hats, and dog leashes/accessories. It's such a life saver!
Remember to always scour your house FIRST before buying things. If you use a little creativity, it's amazing what you can come up with! Those have been FREE and easy ways to organize our new home, by reusing things we already had. Be-you-tif-ul.You're Welcome :)
