My kids are napping so I thought I'd pop in quickly to wish you all a happy Martin Luther King Jr Day!
Watching The Help recently (oh man if you haven't seen that movie GO SEE IT! Even my husband and male cousins loved it.) has really put into perspective how the Civil Rights movement has changed our world for the better. It's crazy to think that not so long ago there was such intense segregation in our country. I am so grateful to those who are willing to take a stand against things that are unjust!
My hubby has no work today (LOVE days off...) so we're headed out to do some fun stuff as a family. You should too! I got the pictures below in an email recently. While they are hilarious, they are also SO TRUE...and so sad.
Hopefully this inspires you to ditch the phones, tv, and computer today and go do something active, fun, and interactive with those you love. Happy holiday!
