I can't believe it is December already. Where has this year gone? Christmas is quickly approaching which normally means spending lots of money. What are your tricks for saving money this time of year with gifts, traditions, travel and fun?
I have an 18 month old and a 3 year old (who will be 4 the day after Christmas), both boys. There are so many fun things that are attached to the Christmas season. I love hearing new traditions that I can start with my family. This year we have Buddy, our Elf on the Shelf, that we started last year as a gift from my sister. We are also starting the 12 days of Christmas books, where you wrap 12 books and put them under the tree to unwrap each night until Christmas. Since books can get expensive we decided that we will buy a new book each year and the rest we will get from the library. We love driving around and looking at Christmas lights. Check in your area and find out what free events are going on, there are tons! Also...
Have you ever heard of the Portable North Pole? I discovered it last year, it is so much fun and best of all it is FREE! You heard me, FREE! You can create a personalized video from Santa for your loved one for them to watch again and again. The have added a lot from last year and my 3 year old couldn't get enough of watching Santa talking to him. I know you will love it too!
What are some of your Christmas and other holiday traditions?
