The Draper City Recreation Department has planned a Candy Cane Hunt on December 20 at the Draper Historic Park (12625 S. 900 E.)The Draper Community Foundation is sponsoring Santa’s Village, the official name of the Draper Christmas Festival. Welcome Santa Claus to Draper on Saturday, December 18. At 10:00 am, Santa will begin his trek down the mountain from SunCrest with the help of the Unified Fire Authority. He’ll continue his journey through the heart of Draper before arriving at the VF Factory Outlet Mall (12101 So. Factory Outlet Dr.), where he will meet with all the children and hand out gift bags from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Music and entertainment takes center stage at Santa’s Village. The Village stage in the old Osh Kosh space will present local talent throughout the Festival, including Dan Whitley and his youth orchestra. Entertainment on the Village stage will be from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on December 17 and from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on December 18.
Vendor booths will be set up throughout the mall, providing shoppers with the opportunity to find that perfect gift. While shopping, keep your eyes peeled for the Village Elves who will be eager to share their Christmas cheer (and maybe a candy cane or two). And be sure to enjoy some hot chocolate and scones from one of the area’s best food vendors.
