BONUS Saving Craving savings tip!....DON'T THROW OUT YOUR TURKEY CARCAS!

Similar to THIS post about not throwing out your Halloween pumpkins, don't throw out your turkey carcas! I'll post a more thourough post with pictures later, but wanted to warn everyone in advance.

After you carve your turkey, simply put the bones and "leftovers" (yucky stuff, if you will) in a big pot on the stove. Fill the pot with water, and have it simmer for quite a few hours. After 5-6 hours or so, just strain out all the "stuff" and preserve the water. You now have homemade turkey stock! Put it in the freezer and use it for soups and yummy dishes, just like you would chicken stock.

Hopefully it's not too late. If you've already thrown out your turkey carcas, just remember this trick for Christmas. You can do it with ham, chicken, or turkey. Enjoy!
