My friend Sharon told me about an AWESOME Yahoo feature called Freecycle.
The way it works is, you create a (free) Yahoo email account, then join the Freecycle "group" in your area (they have them in most major cities). You then write a message to the group stating something you are looking for, or something you are looking to get rid of, and you find a match! It's a great way to get FREE stuff, or to get rid of old stuff!

It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. To sign up, find your community by entering it into the search box above or by clicking on 'Browse Groups' above the search box. Have fun!
